Is membership full?
Membership is officially capped for 2024. If you a returning 2023 member or your 2023 group is changing its line-up that's fine. However, if you are a new group in 2024, we will have a waitlist for events. If events are unfilled, we may add groups and groups will be asked to join at that time. Joining as a group may also depend on the time you want (hint: if you want to play after noon, you just increased your odds of getting in!) The annual fee is $50.
Is lunch included?
Some clubs prefer not to offer lunch at their course. Some are not set up to make it easy and others are fearful of continued staffing shortages. In an effort to keep fees down and still add courses, some clubs will not include lunch in their fee. They will be noted on the schedule.
Where do I find tournament results?
We are taking steps to provide on-site individual results "on paper" so guys can see how they did. We are also taking steps to provide complete results within a day or two of the event. Our goal for 2022 is to send all results to the Portland Press Herald (whether they choose to publish them will be on them).
How do I get my winnings?
Changed for 2024...At the end of each month, SMSGA will send your credit winnings to Maine Golf for inclusion in their voucher system. Maine Golf allows you to accumulate a balance for a long time and you may use it in any pro shop in Maine. If you want your balance sent to a Maine golf shop, please click on the link below and follow Maine Golf's procedure.
Do I post my score in GHIN or do you?
With changes we are making to tournament results, we will post scores to GHIN within a day or two of the event.
When are the flights determined and will they change on my birthday?
The flight you are in will be determined by your age as of May 1, 2024.
